3 favourites of the 52

If you have visited this old blog of mine more than once you will probably have noticed the each Sunday I join in a project hosted by Jodi over at Che and Fidel.

"A portrait of our children, once a week, every week in 2013"

This week to celebrate the half way point of both the project and the year Jodi suggested that we link up our favourite three portraits ... so far.

I think that's a sterling idea ... and so ... without further ado ... after much deliberation and heated debate ... with myself ... I give you my all time top choices ... so far.

Master 15:

1/52 ... the very first one ... picked because it WAS the very first one.  It still shows the sweet boyishness that is fast disappearing ... and being replaced by manly mannishness.

20/52 ... I just couldn't go past this keeper ...  showing his reaction to Buster's silent but violent emission.  It may not be the most flattering of photos ... but it's all about being in the right place at exactly the right moment.

24/52 ... probably my most favourite of favourites.  This one was a happy accident.  I called his name ... snapped the photo ... and the expression ... the light ... everything ... just seemed to work out.

Master 13:

2/52 ... loved this one because it shows him thoroughly engrossed in something ... that doesn't involve a screen.  Not to mention that I can still call him my little boy ... because the beginning of High School is still a couple of weeks away.

14/52 ... I got all fancy schmancy on this one and blurred the edges.  Big photographic leap forward for a total novice like me.  All that aside ... I just loved his big brown eyes.

26/52 ... taken on the half way point.  This one makes me think of Oliver ... "Please Sir, can I have some more?" ... but I do feed him ... promise.

So many pictures of the boys,
So many shoots that they've "enjoyed".
So many times I had to bribe,
To ensure this project stayed alive.
So many times I've had to say,
I'll take your photo while you play.
But now we're over halfway there,
And I'll take a moment to declare.
I promise to see this project through,
And like it or not the boys will too.
Cause in a time that's yet to come,
They'll say "Great collection ... thank you Mum".
