Undeniably Me ...

This week's fashion prompt for Shiny T Tuesday was "Undeniably You".

Now trying to consider what is "Undeniably You" is a bit like trying to describe yourself to someone you have never met.  It's difficult.

So I decided to ask those nearest and dearest to me what their top three fashion choices for what is "Undeniably Me" would be.  If nothing else the answers should be interesting.

Hubby was quick off the mark with scarves ... and I have to agree ... I wear a lot of scarves.  I don't limit myself to winter either ... I'm happy to wear a scarf at anytime of the year.

Next he decided on jeans.  Agreed ... 95% of the time I can be found in jeans.

Lastly, he came up with sunglasses.  Yep ... I wear them all the time.  I can't bear to squint ... it gives me a headache every time.  So I like to believe my sunglasses are more medicinal than fashion ... but I do like my medicine to be bang on trend.

Then I asked Master 13.  T shirts, he declared with confidence.  Okay ... not very exciting ... but he could have a point ...

... they go so well with the jeans that were his next selection.

Finally he selected Converse sneakers ... yep ... part of the same uniform.

Then I moved on to Master 15.  I was highly suspicious that he would pick the most unflattering "Undeniably Me" fashion ... and I was right.  Firstly he suggested "those weird, ugly, pointy massage things you wear".

Guess he means these ...

Just one pair ... too ugly to have more than one
Secondly he suggested, "those cheap rubber thongs you wear".  I'm Australian ... what else would I wear in summer?

Most of my rubber thong collection
And finally, he suggested "Pyjamas ... you really like hanging around in pyjamas ... like those ones you're wearing right now"  How rude!

And there you have it ... apparently these are my most "Undeniably Me" fashion items ... whether I like them or not!

  2. Well, I think it's undeniable that your nearest and dearest know your style pretty well! You made me laugh, all those piles of your favourites. I dread to think how huge a pile of my dresses would be... We are very different, I own not one single pair of flip flops, never wear jeans, rarely do t-shirts, and the only Converse in the house belong to my daughter. Scarves and sunglasses, though - now you're talking! Now can we see you in a trademark outfit please? With the funny massage shoes?! xxxx

  3. I pray that nobody comes to the door after 5.30pm to see what I am wearing after work, it's called comfort clothes, pull on stretchy pants and a long cardigan that I can hide behind. xxx Rae

  4. I have a feeling you also like green. Looks like a great collection of your favorites. What would we do without jeans. I've never seen so many flip flops (it's still okay to call them thongs?) outside of a shop!

    1. You're spot on ... I love green ... even if it makes me look a bit like a leprechaun.
Over here in Australia they are definitely thongs ... people would look at you vaguely if you called them flip-flops ;0)

  5. Oh 15 year olds! What a thing to say. lol.
And I'm with you on the jeans and the scarves the the thongs. They are my wardrobe. But since I'm a northern Canadian, boots and slippers and wool socks replace the thongs for most of the year. The jeans and the scarves though? They don't leave.

    1. Jeans and scarves are the bees knees aren't they. Here in Australia I wear thongs for around 10 months of the year ... but there are plenty of tougher Aussies that wear them all year round :0)

  6. Oh My! This is like looking at my own wardrobe! Converse, flip flops, jeans, tees, sunglasses, scarves. I don't have any of those pointy massage things....yet! But I do have a red headed teen age son that calls it like it is. They keep us honest, right?

    1. LOL ... I think we may be twins separated at birth ;0)
And I thoroughly recommend that you get the pointy massage things ... what they lack in aesthetic appeal ... they make up for in comfort ... once you get used to them :0)

  7. No fair! You didn't model any of these for us! How can they be so "you" if we don't see you wearing them (hint hint)? ;-)
