Wrapping up another weekend ...

Buster and I both survived our trip to the vet ... just.

It cost $59 to be told he had probably walked through some grass he had an allergy to .... it would cost an awful lot more to be told which grass it actually was.

It cost $44 for the vet to stick a piece of sticky tape on his foot, look at it under his microscope and declare there was no infection present.

It cost $85.90 to purchase the bottle of stuff to spray on his feet once a day for a week.  If that stuff doesn't work ... come back and we'll give you some even more expensive stuff ... to see if it works.

Generously it cost nothing to borrow the muzzle to keep Buster somewhat contained throughout this procedure.

So far so good ... the paw lickage seems to be well reduced ... though that could be due to the foul and disgusting odour of the "cologne" he is currently wearing on his feet.

In other news we are currently in the midst of football finals.

This generally means that Hubby sports a somewhat manic look in his eye ... and he dresses in ensembles he would otherwise avoid ...

... yes , I'm afraid those ARE red jeans.

I on the other hand spent my Saturday evening ... avoiding going to football finals ... by heading off on a girls night out instead.

Here I am ... ready to rumble ...

... pan out ...

... and again.

Photo bombed by Master 13 ... eating a bowl of breakfast cereal in the late afternoon ... as you do.

I intended to take a few photos of the actual evening ... but I was influenced by the consumption of a few early glasses of champers ... to forget all about it.

Sunday,  Hubby was buoyed by the fact that his team had won and made it into the second preliminary final.  This means he was in a good mood.  These moods have to be taken advantage of.

So he decided we would go to Newcastle and look at stuff to redo our bathroom.  I have been begging to have the bathroom redone for years now.  If only the Sydney Swans would win preliminary finals every weekend.

We looked at some taps and a couple of loos ... and then got distracted by this ...

... which may ... just may be making a new home at our place.

If they win again next weekend ... I'm thinking new carpet and floorboards.

If they win the grand final ... that overseas trip is a certainty.

  2. Oh so very excellent. You of course look smashing, and cereal is nutritious! right?

MUST get that sofa. I have sofa envy by the mere fact you were even able to consider it!

    1. Thanks Rebecca ... I'm sure there are worse things he could be eating ... and I keep telling Hubby that we MUST get it. Just hope we get some sofa buying action before the winning euphoria wears off ;0)

  5. I would just like to point out here that I have purchased so many bottle of that evil smelling cortisone spray for itchy dogs that my vet gets out a new bottle every time she sees me coming down her path and out of the kindness of her heart and because I keep her in shoes, socks, handbags and overseas holidays, she gives me a 10% discount off my bill!

    Nice daks, Hubby!

Nice sofa! Are the covers removable and washable? :-)

    1. They most certainly are ... a prerequisite before any purchase will be made. The covers attach with velcro ... it's ingenious :0)
