It was very large ... it took two strapping young lads to get each piece inside ... and they only just ... and I REALLY mean only just ... managed to get it through the front door.
It was very carefully packaged ... in a LOT of bubble wrap.
I must admit I was a little concerned when I saw this written on the outside.
But all was well with the world.
Yes ... I'm sure you never guessed ... but it was our brand new sofa.
I looked at these brand new, perfectly clean seats ... and I looked at my dirty, sweaty, grubby boys ... yep Hubby and doggy included ... and I was tempted ... so very, very tempted ... to just leave them in their plastic wraps ... Greek style.
Now when we decided to get this brand new sofa ... Hubby gave me the the very important job of organising the cushions. I took this mission on with gusto ... after all I do love a soft furnishing. But I fear I may have been a little over enthusiastic. Not even a sofa of this size could hold all the cushions I sourced.
Here's my leftovers ... I simply can't fit them on.
And you may recall that new secret project I started.
Yep ... you guessed it MORE cushions.
It's enough to send you a little dotty.
But anyhoo ... here's the result ... I like ... do you like?
Gorgeous new sofa, love it! do I spy Ikea floral cushions? I have been tempted with buying this last time I visited :) enjoy your new sofa and I hope it stays clean ;)
ReplyDeleteBee happy x
Thanks Deborah :0)
DeleteThey certainly are Ikea cushions ... as are the pink ones and the stripey ones.
The light colour does have me a little on edge ... I must admit ... but the whole entire thing is actually a slipcover ... so it can be taken off and washed.
Ingenious isn't it.
xx
ooo so not cheese after all!!! that is simply luscious! x
ReplyDeleteAll this talk of cheese is making me hungry ;0)

ReplyDeleteThanks Carla ... very girly for a house predominately filled with boys ... but I have to get my dose of "pink" somewhere :0)

I recall a neighbour who left the plastic on her couch - it was awful especially in summer.
ReplyDeleteOh no ... I can imagine ... could save you time on waxing your legs though ;0)
