A picture's worth 1000 words … week 48 ...

A photo a day … every day … in 2014.

Day 327:  Lovely lilies.

Day 328:  Dogs love sticks.

Day 329:  Tis the season for Xmas beetles.

Day 330:  Mess in the sewing room.

Day 331:  Moping around on the lounge with a headache when the news came on … tends to put everything into perspective.

Day 332:  Rest In Peace Phillip Hughes.

Day 333:  My boys.

  1. Hi Jo,

Lovely photos and tribute to Phillip Hughes.

Loving your idea of a 'mess' in your sewing room.

    1. You're only seeing a very small portion of it there … trust me it gets much, much messier :0)

  3. It has been a very sobering week...love hat you joined in with the gesture. We don't play cricket in our family but it certainly has hit us all. Xxx

    1. Just such a shocking, tragic thing to happen … but the reactions of everyone have been really heartwarming … sort of renews my faith in the human race.

    1. I know tragedies happen to people everywhere, everyday … but something about this one has really hit a nerve with everyone over here … and around the world it seems.

    1. Well it's common name is a Christmas Beetle … it's real name is Anoplognathus. It's an Australian beetle that comes out around Christmas … hence the name … ugly critters :0)

  6. Ooh yes, being dive bombed by Christmas beetles in our spa at night is a yearly pastime! Dogs do love sticks! We keep off cuts under our decks for Winter to help herself to, so she doesn't decide to sharpen her teeth on our saplings! Your boys get cuter each day :-) (I'm sure they'll love that!)xo JJ
