A picture's worth 1000 words … week 13 ...

A photo a day … every day … in 2015.

Day 81:  Hubby's team won the Grand Final … he took a wicket (above) … he took the winning catch … and he's been unbearable every since!!

Day 82:  X marks the spot.

Day 83:  Looking for a likeness.

Day 84:  Ditto!

Day 85:  It's a special breed of flower that only comes out at night ;0)

Day 86:  Ladybird, Ladybird … fly away home.

Day 87:  Plans are afoot … watch this space!

  2. The whole of Australia is going to be unbearable after last night !! lol There are going to be a lot of morose Kiwis around too, so I'm staying home and avoiding them all! I hate cricket! ;) I love your boys, my darling would never pose like that the grumpy sod that he is xx

  5. A great selection of photos, Jo! I love that spider! Your art/portraits are awesome. Are the boys happy with them? Yay for hubby! I am going to have some major floor envy I suspect! So exciting.
You asked about the medium I use when painting. I play with water colours sometimes, including gouache and the big bottles of classroom paint they always call tempera but isn't real tempera. I like it but I tend to like to paint in thick layers and to want to put light colours on top of dark ones which sometimes works with the tempera but works even better with acrylic. I have mixed feelings about acrylic and basically try not to remember that it is essentially liquid plastic (shudders). I don't use oils because of the complications in clean up and the required wait time for drying. I am too impatient to wait for many layers to dry before I can paint more. I also like acrylic because I sometimes paint over top of my old paintings and acrylic works well for that.
