Things that make you go EEEEEEKKK ...

So the other night we had a big, hairy Huntsman spider on the lounge room wall.

Just like this one.

*

But NOT this  actual one … because only weirdos would hold a Huntsman spider.

Before we could empty our customary bottle of insect spray onto it … it ran away and hid somewhere amongst these boxes … boxes I had repeatedly asked Hubby to put away into the roof space.

So that's it then … next Christmas is officially cancelled!!

*  I nicked this picture off my brother's Facebook page … that IS his hand holding it … WEIRDO!!

  1. Crap thats huge!! Spray the one hiding in your xmas decorations with gold paint and roll it in glitter, then it can be on your tree next year. We don't get big spiders in NZ but we get Wetas and some of them are pretty big. I don't do bugs.

    1. I had to google Wetas … and they DO look pretty big … but not at all pretty. Ugh … I don't do bugs either.

  4. Ummm... I try not to be a baby about spiders, but that exceeds my limits. It's massive, and horrid, and has Officially Ruined Next Christmas! xxx

  5. I read in the Womens' Weekly Guide to Huntsman Spiders that one of their most favourite hiding places is inside roof spaces and having found one to their liking, they then like to find boxes of Christmas decorations to live in. So pop your boxes up there, secure in the knowledge that as your boxes already have their resident in situ, you are ahead of all the rest of us.
