A Love Poem ...

When your heart fills with love and the strongest emotion,
And you feel the warm glow of your utter devotion.
Your heart is so full … it could burst from your chest,
You love only one … and to hell with the rest.

You want to cry out from the rooftops so high,
"I'm in love … so in love" … it's the truth I can't lie.
My whole life on earth has only one purpose,
To love and to cherish … I can't remain wordless.

Cause as I sit here … in your loving embrace,
It's time that I told the whole human race.
It may be taboo … and it may be forbidden,
In all likelihood … I should keep it well hidden.

But I'm here today … to declare it with pride,
Right now is the moment … that I will confide.
That it may be perverse … but I'm here on a missioner,
To declare my devotion for my dear air conditioner.

By Me

Hooey, hogwash and mumbo jumbo ...

If you could see inside my head you would likely be amazed at the sheer quantity of utter nonsense that can be found in there at any given time.

In fact it's imperative for my mental health that the safety gauge to my balderdash filled brain be released a little … every so often ... to relieve the levels of inane gibberish.

But beware …  the end result of such actions may result in the following.

Larry has a very bad day.

Look at poor Larry … he's in quite a stew.
He wants to paste papers  … but he's run out of glue.

He'd try to write words … that'd be easy you'd think,
But then when he tried … well he'd run out of ink!

So he thought he'd make lunch … he'd feel better once fed,
But when he went to the kitchen … he was all out of bread.

He went to the pantry … for a tin of baked beans.
And though nobody eats them … there were none to be seen.

He thought he'd go out for a breath of fresh air,
And pick up some glue and some bread while out there.

But when he got in to his prized vintage Bentley,
He found that the fuel tank was entirely empty.

He'd have to walk now … to the shops … what a strain,
And he'd not gone a mile … when it started to rain!

Poor Larry was having a terrible day!
Not one single thing was going his way!

And friend … let me tell you … if this happens to you,
There really is only one thing you can do.

Just shrug your shoulders … and give a shake of your head,
Then turn right around … and go straight home to bed!

The End!

Inside my sketchbook … issue 11 ...

It's safe to say that drawing … painting … art in general is a bit of a passion of mine.

In fact it's safe to say it's been a lifelong passion of mine.

Now this isn't a grandiose statement … I've actually got the photographic proof to back it up!

Here I am at two years of age.

And again.

And again … there's a definite pattern emerging here.

Of course I did have some other interests at two … like hijacking other people's birthday candles.

So it's clear to see that even as a small child nothing made me more happy than a pencil and a clean piece of paper … and nothing's changed.

Here's the latest additions to my sketchbook … all done at the cost of my housework of course!

I've been tinkering with my watercolours.

I've dallied with my pastels.

And I threw in an acrylic on canvas … just for the fun of it!!

Is it any wonder that the floors are filthy and I can never find the time to update this blog??
