If the shoe fits ...

There's been a bit of chatter out there in the blogosphere lately on the subject of shoes … and who has a lot or a little of them.

Now Sue … who seems to me to buy a lot of shoes … bravely revealed her entire shoe collection … and it really wasn't terribly excessive at all.

And then Sandra revealed her entire shoe collection … and it was a very modest, respectable size.

It was at about that point in time that I realised I may just have a little problem … a bit of a footwear fetish … a moccasin malfunction … a clodhopper crisis … which has remained unacknowledged until now.

But in my own defense … and heaven knows I need one … it must be noted that this collection has been amassed over a loooong period of time … which may in turn lead to the acknowledgement of previously undiagnosed hoarding problem.

So in an effort to put myself on the road to recovery … one must first face the reality of the issue … and face it head on.

So … *deep breath* … here … is my shoe collection.

The espadrille collection

The sporty collection

The hand me down collection

One of the side effects of having freakishly small feet is that whenever someone else finds themselves shod in a pair that feel a little snug … they hand them down … to me.  After all no one has smaller feet than me.

Not Hubby.

Not Master 16.

Not Master 14.

Not even Buster.

The only ever worn once collection

I think you can probably tell why!

The wedge collection

The evening collection

The one legged collection

The heels collection

The flats collection

The mule collection

The sandal collection

The short boot collection

The tall boot collection

This pair also belongs in the hand me down collection.

The butt ugly but oh so comfortable collection

The slipper collection

Which would also be quite at home in the Butt ugly but oh so comfortable collection.

The bridal collection

PHEW … that's it … I have faced my demons and revealed the evidence of my excessive behaviour  … well except for my thong collection … that's them over there.

I'm hanging my head in shame … please don't judge me!!

  1. No judgements here! Although I don't have a shoe issue, I do have a leetle problem with jackets :-) I do love your collections of one...and your thong collection is a magnificent sight to behold! I was happy to note you are also in Oz...hello from cool Canberra.

  2. I love the arrangements for the photo shoot. Hope this helps you over come, ha! I love the picture of Buster's foot (paw). At first I thought it was you bending over - his enlarged paw looked like your hair, at first glance, anyway.

    1. Somehow I think you have the more sensible, well balanced approach to shoes … but I probably could open a shoe museum ;0)

    1. Two big under bed boxes on wheels … it doesn't sound so bad when I can say all my shoes are under the bed ;0)

  5. Bloody hell woman, I feel quite inadequate. What a hoard!
How teeny are your feet, too. Don't stick them next to my huge plates of mate, I'll look like a Hobbit in comparison! xxx

    1. My small feet are part of the problem … I rarely find shoes that fit … so when I do see them I feel like I should buy them … whether I need them or not ;0)

  6. Tsk, tsk, tsk! I thought I had it bad! I think your feet are wonderful. I have the ugliest feet in the world (due to my wearing heels for years -- why didn't anyone warn me? and would I have listened?).

  7. ROTFL-I snorted out loud at the one legged collection! I love your shoes. I am indulging in shoes and boots now more than ever before (because I lack a husband to look askance) I regret getting rid of some of my shoes in the past. I used to have the idea that if I got a new pair I should purse something older and perhaps out of style. How silly of me!
It's amazing how big Buster's foot is! I never would have guessed that!

    1. LOL … the size of Buster's feet is rather surprising … and somewhat unbelievable :0)
That one legged collection … I haven't a clue where the other half went ;0)

  11. Well done on sharing! When you said thong collection I was thinking of a completely different thing. A thong in NZ is a G string, a bit of annal floss! We call your sort of thongs jandals over here. Your post was hilariously entertaining and I love that you have tiny feet, smaller than Buster even!! Clever girl.

  14. Blimey, I need to get out there and buy me some more shoes. My collection is totally crap compared to yours. I just went away for a week's holiday and I only took the Havaianas I left the house in with me - ha ha. Sad but true!
