We made it.....

We made it to Sydney Airport nice and early on Saturday morning. Customs was uneventful for most of us, though Hubby copped a good frisking. I smugly enjoyed that fact that he obviously looked like a suspicious character, while the rest of us looked angelic and saintly. That was until we tried to board and Master 15 was "randomly" selected for an explosives screening. Then because he was a minor, this mean't the whole family had to be screened. So we had a little sensor rubbed over our hands and feet, and then we all copped a good feel....usually reserved for at least the second date, but who was I to argue. Apparently they found no explosive traces....so they let us go.....

Thirteen and a half hours to LA, a two hour stop over and then another four and half hours to New York....and finally we made it.

Customs was processed at LAX, an lo and behold Master 15 was again selected for extra security screening. Apparently he was "tagged" for it. And again, because he is a minor, it meant we all had to undergo the screening. This time not only did we get up close and personal with the customs staff...we also had to get one of those delightful 3D scans done. Those shots are probably up on their notice board for comedy relief now!

The cab ride from the airport to our hotel was an eye opener. Speeding, horn blaring, and regular spits out the window....but we made it.

We're all exhausted, but somehow found the energy to take a stroll up to Time Square....like all good tourists do....and now bed...before I become delirious....
