A picture's worth 1000 words … week 18

A photo a day … every day … in 2014.

Day 117:  On a whim ... I decided to teach myself to crochet.  It's either a blanket … or a scarf … or a bookmark … depending on the length of my attention span.

Day 118:  Scenic country scenery.

Day 119:  Rose bud in the garden.

Day 120:  Buster was here …. grrrrrr.

Day 121:  On a whim … Master 14 decided to take up basketball.  It will either last a lifetime … a couple of days … or an hour … depending on the length of his attention span.

Day 122:  Rose in the garden.

Day 123:  What's on my side table … right now.

  1. Gorgeous photos, Jo. That beautiful scene with the lake and horses is like a painting. And the rose bud and flower close-ups are divine.
Crochet? Good luck! At least Buster is helping, pets are good like that! xxx

  3. Your photos are swoon worthy! The lake scene is really stunning but what I love about the others is that they make me pause and think oh how cool. Since I have just woken up, my thoughts are not terribly deep yet and 'oh cool' is about as good as it gets.
I dabble in knitting and crocheting but like you am pretty much only good for rectangles. Your stitches look lovely and consistent!

  4. My attention span is not that good at the moment, I am easily side tracked you see. But I do like the options with the crochet, always good to have a grand plan, a good plan, and an achievable one!!

  5. You crocheted! it's still a great bookmark/blanket/scarf, I can't do it at all, I can't figure out if it's because I'm left handed or what, but it's escaped me! Buster definitely has had some fun there, maybe he has saved you from wool (cookie attacks toilet roll, it's my default theory!) these are beautiful pics Jo, and maybe Basketball could be Master 14's thing although I totally understand attention span's, mine is woeful at times x x x

  6. Dear dear Jo. I wasn't even gone but a little more than a week and you have been up to all sorts of cleverness and soulfulness. The letter from your uncle. Oh my. I shed a tear over that one. And such amazing photos. A-Ma-Zing!!!!! Oh yes, you definitely need to come home with one of those little blue Tiffany boxes. And crochet! Giddyup! I tried to crochet a shawl one time and it looked like a yarn version of a Stingray. Buster could have done a better job. I'll stick with pom poms. XXXOOO

  10. Crocheting!!! I'm so jealous, I'm useless at it. I'll have to give it another go when I get a bit more time on my hands. This term is not the time but maybe the winter holidays!
How have you been anyway? My blog has taken a backseat lately, too much uni work :(
    I hope you are well
