Inside my sketchbook … issue 12 ...

I'm feeling a little shell shocked … are you? …  I'm actually publishing an "Inside my sketchbook" post.

My first since last year … in fact my first since NOVEMBER last year.

Very bad blogging form indeed!

I can't even use the excuse that I hadn't done any sketching because these little scribbles have been sitting in said sketchbook for ages and ages.

Anyhoo, better late than never … right … right!?

But back to the subject of sketching.  Sometimes I get the urge to draw, my fingers are itching to create something … but my brain can't get with the program and I'm left without an iota of inspiration for a subject.

Now what's a girl to do in a situation like this?  I ask you … what??

Well you could give it some intelligent thought and delve into your memories and emotions and come up with some arty inspiration … or you could do what I did … and type "what should I draw?" into Google.

Anyway, Google suggested that copying other people's masterpieces was great practise … and since that way someone else has already come up with the idea I felt like it suited me just fine.

So that's what I did.

Here's a few doodles you may … or may not find familiar.

Till next time … whenever that may be!!

    1. I guess they took a little longer than a doodle … but never more than one sitting … I get bored if a drawing takes too long :0)

  9. Those are doodles? They look like paintings to me and bloody good ones! I imagine you illustrating a book on famous artists. In fact I want you to make a book on not so famous artists, the women artists who have been overlooked in history. You could paint copies of their work and portraits of them. It would be sooo cool! Get on it, Jo! xoxo
